SCCY 9mm Carry Pistol: Any Good?

Highly reminiscent of the KelTec P11, the SCCY CPX series of handguns offers just about any color you'd want. Other upsides include low price, ability to take other magazines, good accuracy, and lightweight. They also come with a highly touted lifetime service policy. In our shooting we found out we'd probably use it [see video]. Reliability of our SCCY CPX-2 was a bit underwhelming at times, even with high quality 9mm loads.
Testing was performed at both indoor range and desert locations. Magazines would consistently jam into the CPX and could not be easily extracted [shown]. The trigger is a long double action-only affair which is a deal killer in an auto pistol.
Internet reports, even in SCCY enthusiast forums, indicate a several reliability/durability issues with the CPX 1/2 pistols. It is a new design and sometimes Version Two ends up being awesome. But from our experience it has too many quirks to rely upon and we'd buy one of the other many excellent concealed carry guns like Glock 43, S&W Shield, Wather PPS or CCP, Springfield XDS, KelTec PF9 or P11, Sig P938, or Taurus 709 Slim just to name a few.
